Flower Greenhouse for Vietnam Client
DETAIL
As part of our expanding portfolio of international greenhouse installations, Sunmax Greenhouse recently completed a custom greenhouse project in Vietnam tailored specifically for large-scale flower production. This project demonstrates how we design and deliver efficient, climate-adapted commercial greenhouse systems that meet specific horticultural requirements in Southeast Asia's demanding environment.

Client Overview and Project Goals

Our Vietnam-based client operates in the floriculture sector and required a controlled growing environment to support the year-round production of ornamental flowers. Due to regional challenges such as high humidity, intense rainfall, and fluctuating temperatures, traditional open-field cultivation methods were no longer viable for consistent, commercial-scale flower yields.

The client's objective was to implement a
custom greenhouse solution that not only enabled stable flower cultivation throughout the year but also integrated automation and climate-control systems to reduce operational overhead and labor input.

Site Conditions and Design Requirements

The greenhouse site is located in a semi-tropical zone characterized by:
Annual average temperatures ranging from 22°C to 35°C
High humidity levels (often above 80%)
Intense seasonal rainfall, especially during the monsoon period
Strong solar radiation with occasional UV fluctuations

To ensure plant health and high production efficiency, the client needed a structure that could manage internal temperature, humidity, light diffusion, and ventilation effectively. Additionally, the project required a cost-efficient yet durable solution that could withstand Vietnam’s climate without compromising crop quality.

Engineering and Structural Configuration

After on-site consultations and environmental data collection, our engineers proposed a multi-span film-covered greenhouse structure, optimized for flower cultivation. The design included:

Double-layer polyethylene film roofing for insulation and rain protection
Hot-dip galvanized steel frame with anti-corrosion treatment
High side walls and roof venting system to promote natural air circulation
Roof ridge ventilation windows with insect-proof netting
Integrated rainwater drainage and collection system for efficient water management

The structure offers the ideal balance between light transmission (for photosynthesis) and temperature regulation, supporting the client’s crop schedule and minimizing energy input.

Environmental Control and Automation Integration

To maintain precise climate parameters for different flowering stages, we installed a smart environmental control system. Key components include:

Automatic ventilation control via side and roof vents
Internal shading system to modulate light intensity and prevent heat stress during peak sunlight hours
Cooling pad and exhaust fan system to bring down internal temperature during high-heat months
Circulation fans to reduce humidity pockets and improve air uniformity
Sensor-driven irrigation and fertigation system, programmed based on soil moisture levels and plant nutrition requirements

The client has full control through a central digital interface, which allows remote monitoring and parameter adjustments in real-time. This automation minimizes manual intervention, reducing labor costs and ensuring crop uniformity.

This Vietnam flower cultivation project is a successful example of how a custom greenhouse can dramatically improve production capacity, quality, and operational control in challenging climates. From the tailored structure to the automated environment management, every aspect of this greenhouse was designed with the client’s business goals and climate conditions in mind.

For growers seeking a greenhouse for garden or commercial-scale flower farming, this case highlights the power of precision greenhouse engineering.
At Sunmax, we don’t deliver off-the-shelf structures — we build success, one custom system at a time.
